Play Day part 2

The top card was done with an Inkylicious stamp and Inkdusters and a free butterfly stamp from Craft Stamper magazine which I stamped on acetate and then used some alchol inks.

The bottom card is a lilli of the valley stamp that I coloured with Spectrum Noir Markers.  Then  I used one of my spellbinders to diecut the lacy circle and dusted around the edge with some sepia versafine ink.  I wish that you could see more of the background effect that I created using Sue Wilsons shaving foam technique.  I love it and the feel it gives to he paper. I will do the same thing but with some stronger colours so you can see the effect.  Anyway back to the Bank holiday weekend.  Hope you all have a fun time.

Play Day

I have had myself a play day today which included finishing some cards off and creating some new ones for my stash.  I have had a great time shut away in my little room.

This one was done with my good old ink dusters and Sheena Douglas stamps.

Theses two are created with some Kaisefcraft Stamps and Inkdusters.
This one was done using the same stamp range - some tin foil, an embossing folder , some acrylic paint and guilding wax.  I must say I quite like the effect.
I hope you like what you see so far

Wisper and distressed markers

Hope you have all enjoyed you weekend, I cant believe that Sunday evening has come around so quickly.  Work again tomorrow, Yuk!!!!!!!!!  Anyway I have been playing with my pens, inks and stamps this evening whilst my my hubby was sleeping.  My good friend Wendy brought me back some of the lovely Mr Tim Holtz distressed markers from the States a few weeks ago.  So I thought I would take a closer look at them and do a bit of a colour chart for them.  Then I remembered I got some Whisper markers free with some Sheena Douglas stamps ages ago and I am embarrassed to say I have never used them (I hang my head in shame), one thing lead to another and now I think they are fab and my favourite bestest things now.  This is what I have created.

The stamp is a Lilli of the Valley one and I used my distressed markers directly onto the stamp, I then misted some water over the stamp, and stamped the image onto Centura Pearl card.  I then pulled the colours out with a water brush.  The backgrounds I created with Sheena Douglas little bit sketchy new range of stamps - and some co-ordinating distressed inks and my ink dusters.  I used cosmic shimmer pva for my faux pearls and added a little glitter and faux stitching.  I am pleased with the results and will be using the markers a lot more.

I must find some time to have a good tidy of my craft bits.  I think I have so much stuff now that I don't bother looking for anything anymore I just buy more !!!!!!! Its terrible.  Anyway must dash - Have a great week, be back soon.

Busy but Productive

Happy Saturday to you all - I have had a fun, busy, productive day.  It started off with 2 of my nieces popping around to say goodbye and collect some ice cream pennies for their holiday.  They were so excited bless them, so happy holiday,s to Izzy, Emily and their mum and dad.  We then went off to see my grandad as I haven't seen him for a few weeks.  We arrived and he was playing animal bingo with the other residents in his home, so my husband and I joined in the fun it was a real giggle (sad eh!).  He told us to go once his lunch was being served as there was a particular lady he wanted to sit with and she wouldn't want us to sit with them.  Bless him.  Then we went off for a lovely lunch in a pub called The Feathers that is just opposite Cliveden.  It was really nice, but I had an eyes bigger than my belly situation and couldn't finish my lunch.  I was soooooo full when we left I thought I would need to sleep  it off - so to wear off my lunch I set about cleaning my windows!!!!! Good move as my husband cleaned the outside of the windows.  Then he laid on the couch and fell asleep - so off into my craft room I crept !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And this is what I have produced

I used my cricut to cut the elements out.  They are for my aunty as her mother and father in law are celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversay in June so I hope she likes them.  Anyway best wake up the old fellow as we are off out to dinner with friends tonight.  Enjoy the rest of your weekend guys x Thank you for stopping by.

Love and hugs

What a Scorcher!

Hope you are enjoying your day,  isn't it beautiful?   I am posting this blog from the garden in the beautiful sunshine.   Yesterday we dropped my son off in Oxford where he is having to complete 3 weeks work experience at Linear Fisheries.   He will be living in his bivvy for 3 weeks,  not my idea of fun but he has been really looking forward to going even if he has to do a bit of work.   I must say though the place was spectacular,  I know the sunshine helped make it look idilic, but I was impressed.

What do you think?  He is with 2 of his college friends so I know he will be ok.   He has called already to tell us he has caught a 15lb mirror carp so he is obviously enjoying himself.

So with the water water theme in mind here are 2 cards I have made using Sheena Douglas little bit Sketchy stamps - I have stamped them in distressed inks and then pulled out the colour with a water brush.

I love these stamps they are really easy to use.
Anyway best be on my way now as I think I should help my husband wash down my greenhouse.   Enjoy the rest of your day.   Bye for now Tracy Xxxxxxxx

It's Saturday!!!!!!!!!

The weekend has been a long time coming don't you think?  Where's the sun gone?  I have a confession -  I think it could be my fault its gone into hiding this morning - I was thinking of getting my summer clothes out!!!!! Sorry guys.

The week seems to have been consumed with work this week so I haven't been able to get much crafting done. :( Once again it feels like work is in control of me!!!! Ahhhhhhh.

Anyway rant over and a smile returns to my face.   It was my nieces birthday yesterday, she is now 5 years old and I don't know where that time has gone.   So I thought I would share the card I have made her.   It's a crafters companion topper which is very appropriate for her as she loves dressing up.   I hope she likes it.  I hope you all enjoy your Bank holiday weekend and I promise to put the summer clothes thoughts out of my head so that the sun comes out again.   Take care all

Bye for now

Altered Peg

Last night was Crop night at  Bellaboo in Stoke Poges  - we had a great evening with amazing cake made by our host Kate.  So a big thank you to her.  At our last meet Kate set the challenge to alter a peg.  My friend Wendy managed to get hold of some jumbo pegs so  we had a fantastic day on Sunday altering our pegs for the challenge.   So today's blog is a picture of my peg, and my WOYWW entry.   Hope you like it, I must say I really enjoyed doing it and I am going to use it as a photo holder.   Have a great afternoon and thanks for popping by.
