It's a scrapbook page that I am trying to finish of my dads birthday last December.   I best be back to it. Enjoy the rest of your evening and the sunshine.

Look what I made. I am so pleased with the finished result.  What do you think?

A big thank you to all the guys at Crafting to the Max in Burnham.  Maxine, Maria,  Denise and Joe all made us feel really welcome and did a fantastic job providing us with tea, coffee and biscuits.  Have you tried the Creative Expression's gilding wax yet?  All I can say is its a must have!!!!!!!!!  Just a quick one today.   Hope you have enjoyed the weekend

Quick Cards

Happy Saturday!!I have managed to grab a few hours crafting time today and these cards were really quick to make as I used one of Sue Wilsons designs from her blog.   So a big thank you to her.

I am really pleased with the results and I must say I love the Creative Expression's silk crush ribbon.   It's really easy to tie a nice bow for a change.

I am off to do a workshop at Craft to the Max in Burnham tomorrow.   We are making a steampunk clock using Indigo Blu stamps.   I am really excited.   Hopefully I will get to show you the finished result tomorrow.   That's it for now.   Enjoy your Saturday evening,  thanks for popping by.

WOYWW

I have a little bit of a little bit of new naughtiness.  I love making flowers.   My friends think I am bonkers with all the fiddling about but I find it very therapeutic.   I brought this new book because I thought it would help me with some new flower  designs.   It is a lovely book, although to get  all the punches I think will cost an absolute fortune.   So with that in mind and after having a good look through I think the flower shoppe cricut cartridge contains more or less the same shapes and those it doesn't I will improvised.

This is a close up of the card I have made for my sister in laws birthday which is also on my desk along with my spellbinders blossom dies.   And of course way to much mess.  For the card I have used stormy skies,  fired brick and dusty concord distressed inks with cut and dry foam and the dandelion stamp and grasses from Indigo Blu wild meadow stamp set. I added some glitter,  gems and a sentiment and I am really pleased with the finished result.

Hope your day is going well wherever you are.   Enjoy your evening

Starting to feel healthy again.

Finally I can say I am really starting to feel better.  Hooray, I have hated feeling like this.  I am going back to work Thursday and now I am thinking, I really don't want to.   Hey Ho needs must ..... 1 little fellow is really gonna miss me..

He is so loving having me home.

Anyway men's cards are so hard to do even when they have a hobby, the fact that they don't particularly like glitter and ribbon is such a pain. So I created this book style card for my husbands friend.  I bet you cant guess what his hobby is!

I used my X-Cut large rectangular dies to create the book with plain white card,  then I used my tea dye distressed ink and ink dusted around the edges of the pages.   I then stamped some script in black with  my Indigo Blu Script stamp.   I made the fishing rod and fish myself.  The background I created with the crackle Indigo Blu stamp using some moss green distressed ink and also some black Adirondak paint, I also did some splats with my distressed stain (brushed corduroy ).  I got all these products from my favourite craft shop Bellaboo.  Have a look online at Bellaboo.co.uk.

Enjoy the rest of your evening,  bye for now

Be careful what you wish for!

Cliché I know but it's true.   Last Saturday I was banging on about being busy and not having enough time for crafting, and this week I have had plenty of time on my hands but been to poorly to do any crafting. I even had to cancel a visit to see my friend before she went on holiday.  So I am feeling very sad with myself.   I hope that she is having a fab time in Florida with her sister and sister in law.

Today is the first day I have felt up to crafting .  My husband went out for the day so it was just me and Sergei.  I wanted to have a little play with my Blossom 5 dies and have a go at making some roses.

I got the instructions off  Sue Wilsons blog. I must say the instructions  were really easy to to follow.  I then made a smaller one and a rose bud and added it to a card for a friend

And my little helper assumed his normal position whilst I was enjoying myself.

Happy Sunday to you all. Enjoy what's left of your day.

Bye for now

My little helper

I just thought I would let you know my little helper was no help today - the sun was shining so he topped up his vitamin D - bless!!!!!! It's lovely to have some sunshine don't you agree?

Thank goodness it's the weekend

Finally it's Saturday -it's been the longest week ever.  Once again I have that twitchy feeling - I haven’t had a chance to do any crafting since my last blog on Wednesday morning.

Firstly I must say a big thank you to my lovely friends for indulging me with my WOYWW blog.  It was so good to see what was on your desks.

After shopping and clearing up this morning I sat at my desk and had some much needed therapy time!!!!!!!! Ahhhhhhh bliss!!!!!!! and the twitchy feeling starts to fade.  I have been at my desk for some time now and TADAARRR

This is my finished card for the Indigo Blu  Words and Phrases challenge.  I love the indigo Blu range and love how versatile they are.  I used them lots in some samples for Bellaboo.co.uk.  You can see them on their blog.  Kate gave me some papers and asked me to just have a play - I had a fab time - even got to borrow some of her stamps (indigo blu ones of course).

The stamps plates I used are from Indigo Blu Grand Tour 1 - Wild Meadow - Map -background and
I made up my own phrase using different sentences from the other sentiments - Your destination holds the possibility of sunshine wherever you go.

I stamped all the elements onto Kraft card, using the map stamp to make my background - I then used flitter glue and gold flake and randomly stamped the word travel - I distressed the edges of my background with my distressing tool, unfortunately you can't see it very well in the photo but I have embossed a compass into the background - this didn't stand out as much as I would have liked so I sanded over the area which popped it off the page slightly and also just toned the ink and foil down slightly.  I also distressed the edges of the lady on the bike.

The back two tickets have a little crackle glaze on them just to make them look a little more worn.

The only colour I have used is vintage photo distressed ink and backed everything onto gold mirror card. I have used one of the Tim Holtz trinket pins just to add a little something.

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday - I hope you like my creation.

Request to my friends

Just thought I would ask my friends/followers to take part in What's on your workdesk Wednesday (WOYWW), I have seen it on a few blog sites and thought it would be fun to do amongst ourselves.  I will post a picture of my workdesk on my blog tomorrow showing any projects I am working on (if any - mind you hubby is asleep at the moment so I may creep into my room to play!!!!!) . What do you reckon guys are you up for the challenge - you know you want to - I will be checking your blogs tomorrow - you know who you are..............

I so didn't want to wake up this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sooooooo didn't want to get out of be this morning.  I woke up cold and worn out, this hour change thing gets me every time, it's like a jet lag feeling. Who would think an hour could make such a difference.  Anyway today I have a picture of the Kiesercraft clock my husband brought me for my birthday last year.  I have used Tim Holtz brushed corduroy distressed stain for my solid colours and the patterned paper is from the Prima Nature Garden collection.  I was lucky enough to win the papers in a competition that Bellaboo.co.uk were running as part of their birthday celebrations last year. I am really pleased with the finished project though.

I cut out some branch shapes and punched out some small flowers to look a bit like cherry blossoms.  The numbers I cut from a sizzix die that I have, and the ribbon is what a friend gave me.  I made a plaque to go on the little fence and you can't see it in the photo but it says Harris House.

I am hoping that I will get a chance to do some crafting at some point this week. I haven’t done anything since the Bellaboo crop on Tuesday last week -I feel twitchy - I think I must be addicted - I am having withdrawal symptoms.  Hope you have had a good day. Thank you for shopping by - happy crafting.

Bye bye
